Math

Students come home with their Math Homework every Monday. It is one sheet, front and back, with 12 questions. It is to be turned in by Friday of the same week. Some families like to split the 12 problems over the course of the 4 days, doing 3 problems a night. While others let their children do Math Homework all one night.

Parents are encouraged to be involved with their child's homework!

Español

A Spanish "Reading A-Z" book will be coming home with your child on Monday. This is the book that we will be reading all week. Please send it back  with students in their red folder each morning. The activities for this book are:

Monday- Students take a "picture walk" through the book by looking at the pictures and asking themselves: "What do I think? What do I notice? What do I wonder?"

Tuesday- Read the book once and underline our vocabulary words.

Wednesday- Read the book to a friend.

Thursday- Read the book and answer the written question Ms. Somerville sends home!

Letterland

Letterland Homework is also taken home on Monday. There are tasks to be completed every night:

Monday- Read the word list twice.

Tuesday- Look-say-cover-write activity.

Wednesday- Write 5 sentences including spelling words.

Thursday- Give your child a practice spelling test!

Spelling tests are given at school on Friday.
